Work Dates Needed: Ongoing, Est. start date: 06/01/2026, Est. length of assignment: 6+ month Preferred Schedule: 8a - 8a, 24 hrs shift, minimum shifts per month: 4/5 Worksite Setting: Hospital (Inpatient) Scope of Work: Acts as the primary doctor for unassigned/uninsured OB-GYN patients, including admission, treatment, and discharge, Provides 24/7 triage and emergency care for obstetric and gynecologic patients (labor, delivery, postpartum, and ER cases), Manages high-risk cases and transfers, and follows hospital safety guidelines, Supports private OB/GYNs by assisting with triage, monitoring labor, procedures, deliveries, and C-sections (with or without the attending present if needed), Handles emergency GYN consults, surgeries, and inpatient consultations, Performs tasks like NST interpretation, exams, and initial patient management, Participates in hospital committees and team coordination, and supports/educates nursing staff. Consult Expectations: Expected to respond to consults as soon as requested unless you are in the middle of a clinical situation that precludes you from responding immediately (such as delivery, surgery, etc.) The note should be in the chart prior to the end of your shift. However, we do ask that you communicate your recommendations to the requesting provider once the consult is complete in case you are not able to get your note completed immediately.
