Job Description Summary: Acute care interventional telemetry medical surgical unit, 32 private beds, acuity ranges from moderate to high (frequent neurological assessments). Patient population includes epilepsy, myasthenia gravis, stroke, multiple sclerosis, NPH, migraine, encephalopathy, brain mass, hemicraniectomy, other neurological/neurosurgical diagnoses. No ventilated patients. Heparin, Argatroban, Cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, ketamine drips. 24 beds neurological/neurosurgical. 8 beds Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. This position provides general nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. He/She is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Responsibilities And Duties: Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual (30%). Outcomes Identification/Planning - Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs (30%). This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
