Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure optimal uptime, safety, and quality in a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives, preventive maintenance programs, and rapid response to equipment failures in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, injection molding presses, robotics, conveyors, and automation systems Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Respond quickly to production downtime and execute root cause analysis to prevent recurrence Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, PLC logic, and technical manuals Perform PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent preferred) Support continuous improvement, Kaizen, and TPM initiatives Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and spare parts usage Ensure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support operational goals Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S) Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred 3+ years of maintenance experience in an automotive or Tier 1 manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, servos, sensors, and robotics Ability to work in a fast-paced, just-in-time manufacturing environment Willingness to work shifts, weekends, overtime, and be on-call as required Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Experience with injection molding, stamping, welding, or automated assembly lines PLC programming or advanced troubleshooting experience Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma concepts OSHA safety training or equivalent certifications Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely Competencies Mechanical and electrical aptitude Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Sense of urgency and accountability Team-oriented mindset Commitment to safety and quality Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Xinquan Texas Automotive Interiors LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
