This role focuses primarily on adult outpatient care, with a strong emphasis on oncology and a smaller portion of hematology cases. Dates / Schedule
Ongoing locum coverage (specific dates not provided)
95% outpatient clinic, 5% hospital-based care
Average of 22 patients per day
Typically 2 3 new consults daily
Job Details / Responsibilities
Provide care to 100% adult patients
Manage a caseload split of approximately 70% oncology and 30% hematology
Deliver both outpatient and limited inpatient Hem/Onc services
Perform specialized treatments including:
Intrathecal chemotherapy
Intracavitary chemotherapy (preferred)
Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
Maintain efficient workflow in a moderate-volume clinical setting
Required Skills & Qualifications
Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (required)
Completion of Hematology/Oncology fellowship (required)
Active Kentucky state license (highly preferred)
COVID-19 vaccination (required)
BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
Experience in both outpatient and inpatient Hem/Onc (required)
Proficiency in intrathecal chemotherapy (required)
Intracavitary chemotherapy experience (highly preferred)
Current Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days) (required)
