Job Description
In this position the CMM Program Engineer/ Inspector is responsible for creating CMM inspection programs from customer drawings, blueprints, and CAD models. The CMM Programmer also acts as lead inspector, carrying out first article, in-process, and final inspections as well as answering other inspector's questions and giving guidance.
Responsibilities
- Create, organize, and control CMM inspection programs
- Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
- Complete first piece and first article inspections
- Continuously improve older programs
- Install programs on multiple CMM's
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position as unscheduled absences would create undue hardship to the business in its effect on maintaining production numbers.

Education/Training
- Experience programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines
- Working knowledge of ISO9001 & AS9100 Quality Management Systems
- Working knowledge of GD&T
High School Diploma or GED
