This is a meaningful opportunity for a Psychiatric APRN who is passionate about serving adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders in an integrated, team-based setting.

About the Role

The Psychiatric APRN works alongside social workers, clinicians, and case managers to provide coordinated, whole-person care. You ll build strong therapeutic relationships while delivering high-quality psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).

This role offers the autonomy to make independent clinical decisions while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and re-evaluations

  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans

  • Provide psychiatric medication evaluation and ongoing medication management

  • Prescribe and manage medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders

  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and coordinate care with primary care providers

  • Participate in on-call coverage rotation

  • Serve as a clinical leader on the interdisciplinary treatment team

  • Communicate changes in treatment plans and client needs to appropriate staff

Qualifications
  • Master s Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification required

  • Psychiatric certification or actively working toward psych certification

  • Current, unrestricted APRN license in Vermont (or ability to obtain upon hire)

  • Experience providing psychiatric care and MAT for adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders

  • Experience working with complex adult populations including developmental disabilities and medical comorbidities

  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications

  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records

  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and compassion
