About the RoleThe Psychiatric APRN works alongside social workers, clinicians, and case managers to provide coordinated, whole-person care. You ll build strong therapeutic relationships while delivering high-quality psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
This role offers the autonomy to make independent clinical decisions while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary care team.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and re-evaluations
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
Provide psychiatric medication evaluation and ongoing medication management
Prescribe and manage medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders
Monitor treatment effectiveness and coordinate care with primary care providers
Participate in on-call coverage rotation
Serve as a clinical leader on the interdisciplinary treatment team
Communicate changes in treatment plans and client needs to appropriate staff
Master s Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification required
Psychiatric certification or actively working toward psych certification
Current, unrestricted APRN license in Vermont (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Experience providing psychiatric care and MAT for adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders
Experience working with complex adult populations including developmental disabilities and medical comorbidities
Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications
Experience using Electronic Medical Records
Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and compassion
