Job Description

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking multiple locum Interventional Radiologists to support a high-volume, Trauma Level I program during a transition from a private group model to employed providers. This role involves full-spectrum interventional radiology coverage with weekday clinical hours and required onsite call coverage. Providers will join a well-supported department with access to advanced imaging technology and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Dates / Schedule
  • Start Date: March 21, 2026 at 12:00 AM

  • Assignment Length: 3 6 months, with potential extension based on ongoing needs

  • Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM

  • Call Coverage:

    • 24-hour call (nights and weekends, onsite)

    • Night and holiday call as required

  • Practice Setting: Hospital-based with some remote work

  • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: days upon completion of applications

Job Details & Responsibilities
  • Provide interventional radiology procedures in a very high-volume, Trauma Level I hospital

  • Perform a broad range of IR procedures; case volume varies by subspecialty

  • Utilize EPIC EMR, PowerScribe, and PACS

  • Support care for a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics (minimal pediatric cases)

  • Work with a full complement of experienced support staff

  • Provide onsite coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays as part of call rotation

  • Collaborate closely with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams

  • Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and patient-centered care

  • Participate in hybrid onsite/remote workflows as applicable

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or AOBR)

  • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology (highly preferred)

  • Active Connecticut medical license or IMLC at time of submission

  • Ability to obtain privileges at Saint Francis and Johnson Memorial Hospital

  • Proficiency with PACS, PowerScribe, and current radiology IT platforms

  • Experience performing fluoroscopy, ultrasound-, and stereotactic-guided biopsies, aspirations, and localizations (must be disclosed at submission)

  • DEA registration and state-controlled substance certification (or eligibility)

  • BLS required; ACLS required

  • Experience in high-volume, integrated health system environments

  • Prior experience with hybrid onsite/remote workflow models

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and clinical judgment skills

  • Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (required)

  • Willingness to meet medical staff bylaws and regulatory requirements
