Seeking a BE/BC Epileptologist to join our growing Neurology Department in western West Virginia.
Highlights: - Full-time, hospital employed position
- Join an existing Epilepsy Physician and 8 Neurologists in a growing Neuroscience Department
- Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgeon on staff
- Faculty members including General, Pediatric, Neurohospitalist, Neuromuscular, Movement, Headache, and Vascular
- Level 3 Epilepsy and Seizure Center is first in the region
- Epilepsy monitoring unit has 5 specially equipped rooms for adults and 2 for Pediatrics
- Position involves clinic, hospital, and teaching components
- Provide evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care for general Neurology and epilepsy patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide general Neurology call coverage with other neurologists in a shared system
- Active in physician and hospital outreach activities related to neurology/epilepsy
- Participate in medical student and resident education, as well as research
- All other appropriate duties as assigned by the chair of the Department of Neurology
- Multidisciplinary team includes Radiologists, Clinical Pharmacists, Nursing Dietitians, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists
- Established Neurology Residency Program
- New Medical Office Building under construction with 1 and 1/2 floors dedicated to Neurology and Neurophysiology
