Job Description: As a Nurse Practitioner on the UCHealth Cardiac Surgery team, you will: Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients with a focus on compassionate, patient-first care Assist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting when needed Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluation of CVICU, floor, and clinic patients Participate in 2 full-day clinics weekly and see additional patients as needed on other days Rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and healthcare professionals in a collegial, multidisciplinary environment Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests Develop and implement appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on patient outcomes Order medications and write prescriptions in compliance with regulatory policies Perform bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population Provide high-quality, timely documentation of all care delivered Demonstrate expert clinical judgment and function independently under physician supervision Maintain continuing medical education to meet state and national registry requirements Adapt and thrive in a high-stress, dynamic clinical setting with evolving organizational needs Exhibit flexibility, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a positive cultural fit NOT DOING ANY LOCUMS OR LOCUMS TO PERM UCHealth clears names system-wide.
