Are you an experienced optical professional who loves leading teams, elevating patient experiences, and running a smooth, high-performing practice? A well-established eye care practice in Philadelphia is seeking an Optical Practice Manager to lead day-to-day operations and guide a growing optical team to success.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and enjoys balancing people leadership, operations, and optical expertise.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of optical staff to deliver a world-class patient experience

  • Oversee daily optical operations, scheduling, workflow, and performance

  • Manage inventory, frame selection, lens ordering, and vendor relationships

  • Collaborate closely with optometrists and healthcare professionals to ensure prescription accuracy and quality care

  • Train staff on optical products, equipment, systems, and customer service best practices

  • Drive efficiency, process improvement, and overall office performance

  • Handle reporting, payroll coordination, compliance (HIPAA), and operational metrics

  • Serve as a go-to problem solver for patient concerns and operational challenges

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of management experience, leading a team in an optical or retail setting

    Responsibilities
    • Payroll administration using ADP

    • Office administration and day-to-day operational oversight

    • Utilization of CRM and EHR systems to support patient and business workflows

    • Exposure to insurance billing is a plus, but not required

    Requirements / Preferences
    • ABO Certification

      • Strongly preferred

      • Open to strong candidates willing to obtain certification on the job

Schedule & Compensation
  • Full-time, salaried role

  • Monday-Friday schedule with occasional evenings or weekends (advance notice provided)

  • $66,560-$83,200 annually, depending on experience
