This regional medical facility is a significant healthcare provider in the area, featuring dedicated obstetrics and gynecology services with two operating rooms specifically for C-sections and emergencies. The facility maintains 23 beds in the department and provides comprehensive maternal care in a supportive environment.

Opportunity: ABMS Board Certification - Obstetrics and Gynecology

This is an excellent opportunity for an OB/GYN physician looking for a hospitalist position in a well-established medical facility serving the Somerset community and surrounding areas.

Job Details:

• OB/GYN Hospitalist position requiring 24-hour shifts on the unit
• Average of 8 patient encounters per shift
• Must have a Kentucky medical license
• Clean background check required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Required skills include management of low and high-risk pregnancies
• FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) experience required
• Proficiency in OB ultrasounds (Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted)
• Experience with amniocentesis procedures
• Ability to perform various delivery methods including vaginal, low forceps, and C-sections
• Experience with complicated deliveries including breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Capable of repairing 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations
• Surgical gynecology skills required for open, laparoscopic, and operative procedures
• Candidates must be able to drive to the location (no airfare provided)
• Position starts ASAP and is ongoing
