Job Details

Accounting Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to lead and develop a team of staff accountants. This role is responsible for overseeing and reviewing key accounting functions, including royalties, leases, lottery transactions, third-party receivables, expense tracking, and monthly close activities. The Accounting Supervisor will prepare and analyze financial workpapers, support audits, and contribute to special projects that strengthen financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee, review, and approve financial workpapers supporting the monthly close and audit requirements

Monitor, reconcile, and ensure timely clearing of cash transactions across multiple accounts

Review G&A accounts to validate transactions, identify variances, and support budget tracking

Analyze operational expenditures to ensure accurate reporting and proper accounting treatment

Supervise and review accounting, reconciliation, and analysis for multiple functional areas, including:

RV accounting

Lottery accounting

Royalty accounting

Third-party restaurant accounting

Lease accounting

Check-clearing cash accounts

Prepare and distribute standard retail and operational reporting

Perform margin analysis by evaluating revenue and cost components and identifying required adjustments

Execute internal charge-out processes to ensure accurate cost allocation across departments

Manage storage accounting, including reconciliations for storage facilities

Prepare and review accruals and deferrals to ensure revenues and expenses are recognized in the proper accounting period

Perform ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as requested

Reconcile corporate credit card accounts, including family card programs

Review utility expenses and prepare accruals based on usage trends, invoice timing, and seasonality

Complete census and regulatory reporting as required

Assist in developing and documenting new accounting procedures and process improvements

Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

5-8 years of progressive accounting experience

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills

Experience with SAP preferred

Skills and Competencies

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Excellent time management and organizational skills

High attention to detail with strong analytical abilities

Ability to multitask effectively and collaborate within a team environment
