Practice Setting

• Inpatient surgical setting at a Level I trauma center
• Part of a nationally ranked academic teaching hospital
• EPIC EMR
• Dedicated cardiothoracic ORs and support staff

Schedule

• 24-hour call required during blocks
• Current coverage needs are Sept 14-20, with opportunity for one week per month as needed

Cases and Procedures

• Adult cardiac surgery: CABG, valve, aortic procedures, TAVR
• Robotic thoracic surgery included
• ECMO management and coverage

Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Texas medical license
• Clean background required
