SCHEDULE: Multiple scheduling scenarios available based on provider availability and preference: - Monday Sunday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- 2 3 overnight calls during the week
- Weekend coverage:
- Saturday & Sunday
- Ending Monday at 8:00 AM
- 7 on / 7 off is an option
- Schedule Options:
- Monday Friday with 2 3 nights of call
- Monday Friday 8a 5p with 24/7 weekend call
- 24/7 full-week call
- Pager starts at 8:00 AM
- In-house coverage 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Night call 5:00 PM 8:00 AM
- Orientation - Onsite (8a-12p)
WORKSITE SETTING: Acute Care Hospital Inpatient Gastroenterology Hospitalist model Dedicated Anesthesia support Provider will assist with call coverage across 2 hospitals, but work at 1 location at a time
SCOPE OF WORK: - Inpatient Gastroenterology coverage
- Daytime rounding and procedures
- Overnight and weekend call coverage
- Support APP teams during rounds and procedures
- ERCP experience highly preferred but not required
LICENSURES CERTIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: Active MI license Active MI DEA Board Certified MD/DO Minimum 3 year experience ERCP skills highly preferred Ability to work at 2 hospital locations
EMR: EPIC
SCHEDULE & COVERAGE: - Estimated 12 shifts per month
- Combination of:
- Day shifts
- Night call
- 24-hour call
- Locums cover call at both sites but work onsite at only one facility at a time
CLINICAL RESPONSBILITIES: - Inpatient gastroenterology care
- Perform GI procedures (basic procedures required)
- ERCP (highly preferred)
- Respond to consults and calls
- Collaborate with APP teams and anesthesia
VOLUME & SUPPORT: - Inpatient census: patients (up to 40)
- APP support:
- MD does not see all patients directly
- 2 10 procedures per day
- Dedicated anesthesia support
