Family Practice - Without OB Physician

Primary Care Physician Opportunity with Behavioral Health focus - No Calls or Weekends

A healthcare facility in North Carolina is looking for a Medical Physician locum tenens provider. This opportunity offers a balanced work schedule and a supportive care environment.

Practice Setting:

• Full-time adult-only primary care
• The patient population includes short-term psych patients with addiction issues
• 48-bed capacity, collaborative care team (Psychiatrist, NP/PA, RNs, Psychologist, Techs)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday workweek
• No call or weekend shifts!
• Initial 3-month commitment, with the potential to extend

Procedures and Cases:

• Inpatient care for psych patients, including treating heart issues, wound care, pregnancy, STDs, and other medical conditions.
• Must be able to prescribe, order labs, and read results.
• Focus on addiction and trauma cases.
  • Anything high risk referred to the Emergency Room

Requirements:

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active North Carolina licensure and DEA certification

Credentialing Requirements:

• Estimated 30-day process
• Orientation includes BLS, CPI, and de-escalation training
