Position SummaryA member of Community HealthCare Systems (CHCS) Medical Staff that specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the respiratory system and provide comprehensive care for patients with lung-related conditions. This role involves both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, with an emphasis on high-quality clinical care, patient education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consultation and referral services to CHCSs Clinic providers for Pulmonology services of patients.Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, and sleep-related breathing disordersPerform and interpret diagnostic tests including pulmonary function tests, bronchoscopy, chest imaging, and sleep studiesDevelop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, symptoms, and diagnostic findingsManage acute and chronic respiratory conditions in inpatient and outpatient settingsProvide consultation services to other physicians and healthcare professionalsServe as Medical Director for Pulmonology Services including Respiratory Therapy, Pulmonary Function Tests and Sleep LabEducate patients and families about disease management, prevention, and treatment optionsMonitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as neededMaintain accurate and confidential medical records
