Job Description
Join a collaborative neonatal care team at a respected Level II Plus NICU in Schenectady, NY. This locum opportunity offers 24-hour shifts with overnight call and a supportive work environment staffed by pediatricians, nursery nurses, and other specialized care providers.
Location: Schenectady, NY Schedule:Shift Structure: 24-hour shifts (8 AM 6 PM onsite, overnight call from home until 8 AM)
Total Shifts: 7 shifts per assignment period
Facility Type: Level II Plus NICU
Beds: 15-bed NICU (ADC 4.5) + Mother-Baby Unit (ADC 11)
Team: Includes 4 neonatologists, pediatricians, nursery nurses, lactation consultants, respiratory therapists, and social workers
Rounding/Delivery Attendance: Attend deliveries as requested; assist on mother-baby rounds depending on census
EMR: Cerner
Call: Overnight call from home
Board Certification in Neonatology Required
Active New York Medical License Required
Certifications Required: BLS, NALS, PALS
Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
Rental car and hotel accommodations covered
