Business Development Consultant
Location: Remote (Preferred regions: Central, Mountain, or Western U.S.)
Position Type: Full-Time Virtual
Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 base salary
Travel: Approximately 40-60% (overnight travel required)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Consultant to help drive growth for a leading provider of enterprise software solutions focused on document, print, and workflow optimization. This role is ideal for a strategic, consultative sales professional who excels at identifying new opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and translating technical solutions into measurable business value.
This is a remote, home-based role with flexibility, balanced by regular travel to support customers, partners, and prospects across assigned territories.

What You'll Do
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence
- Develop and execute strategic sales and account development plans
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to align solutions with customer needs
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proposals
- Manage a consultative sales process involving multiple stakeholders
- Track sales performance, pipeline activity, and forecast results
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales strategies and market penetration
- Proven success in business development, consultative sales, or solution consulting
- Experience selling or supporting software solutions related to print, scan, document management, workflow automation, or output management
- Ability to understand customer business objectives and position solutions accordingly
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Comfortable operating in a complex, partner-driven sales environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or related field - or equivalent professional experience
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote setting
- Must be based near a major metropolitan area or airport
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight as needed
