Paralegal: II Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Paralegal for a contract position in Los Angeles, CA. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal with 2-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform legal, regulatory, and business-related research to support our attorneys. This role primarily involves working in law offices, corporate legal departments, or courts, providing essential legal support services. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Conduct research on statutes, decisions, legal articles, codes, and documents. Prepare affidavits and other legal documents, and maintain organized document files. File pleadings with the court clerk and prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements. Investigate case facts and laws to determine causes of action and prepare cases. Assist lawyers by researching legal precedents and preparing legal documents. Edit pleadings, technical papers, briefs, and other documents to ensure inclusion of relevant facts. Travel to various courts to accompany lawyers as needed. Train and coach new or junior paralegals.
