Practice Details:

• Inpatient cardiology coverage only
• Admissions required
• Stroke-certified hospital
• Trauma Level I facility
• Department size: 32 beds
• Average patients per shift: 6 10
• Rounding on assigned patients
• EMR: Cerner

Support Staff:

• RNs: 3

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
• Active Montana license or IMLC eligibility
• BLS certification required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days

Required Skills & Procedures:

• Inpatient cardiology
• ICU coverage
• Echocardiography & TEE (Preferred)
• Nuclear cardiology
• STEMI management
• Diagnostic invasive cardiology
• Cardiac catheterization
• PA catheter & IABP placement
• Heart biopsy
• Interventional cardiology including:
• Angioplasty (PTCA)
• Intracoronary stent placement
• Atherectomy

Additional Notes:
This role is primarily weekend coverage with a few additional dates. Coverage is cath lab only (no inpatient or hospital duties). The average volume is 5 10 cases per day (lighter on weekends) with approximately STEMI cases per month.
