Job Position: Groundskeeper
Location: Conestoga Valley School District
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr
Position Summary:
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and attractive outdoor spaces across the Conestoga Valley School District. This position plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and well-kept environment for students, staff, and visitors year-round.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain school grounds, including mowing, trimming, weeding, mulching, and leaf removal.
Perform landscaping tasks such as planting, pruning, and watering.
Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, tractors, snow blowers).
Keep sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots clean, safe, and free of hazards.
Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow and ice removal, salting, and storm cleanup.
Support the setup and teardown of outdoor events.
Conduct regular inspections of outdoor areas to ensure safety and appearance.
Qualifications:
Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance preferred.
Valid Driver's License REQUIRED.
Ability to safely operate groundskeeping equipment.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
