Dentist - Locum Tenens $160-$165/hr + Travel & Lodging
Location: Haak'u Health Center - Acoma, NM

Contract Length: Minimum 13 weeks

Position Overview

Haak'u Health Center is seeking an experienced Dentist to join our team on a locum tenens basis. This is a 13-week assignment (with the possibility of extension) starting November 3, 2025. All travel, transportation, and lodging are covered.

You'll be working in a supportive, team-based environment providing comprehensive dental care to a diverse patient population, including both adults and children (approximately 25% pediatrics).

Schedule & Setting

• Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• Admin Time: Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (paid)
• Clinic Setup: 4 operatories + 1 hygienist chair
• Support Staff: 2 dental assistants + 1 hygienist

Clinical Scope

• General dentistry including exams, cleanings, and restorative care
• Extractions and minor procedures
• No root canals or bone grafting required
• Balanced caseload of adult and pediatric patients

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Rate: $160-$165/hour (DOE)
• All travel, transportation, and lodging covered

Requirements

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
• Active, unrestricted dental license (any state)
• Current DEA registration
• BLS certification (required)
• Previous experience in community health or with underserved populations preferred
