Job Opportunity: Internal Medicine Physician - Nocturnist

As a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional inpatient care in a supportive environment. The facility offers strong subspecialty and intensivist support, ensuring that you can deliver high-quality medical care to your patients while collaborating with a skilled healthcare team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to a manageable census of approximately 5 10 patients per night.
  • Conduct thorough admissions including histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
  • Document clinical encounters accurately in the Paragon EMR system.
  • Monitor and manage acute medical conditions for patients admitted to the hospitalist service.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and case managers for effective patient care plans.
  • Arrange and coordinate discharge plans to address all follow-up needs.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary rounds for continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety programs.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and documentation standards.
  • Provide mentorship and support to residents and advanced practice providers.
  • Utilize evidence-based guidelines in patient care.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing training opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • New York medical license or willingness to obtain.
  • Clean malpractice and license history.
  • DEA certification.
  • Recent NPDB Self Query Report.
  • 1 year of hospitalist or nocturnist experience preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (Certification within 1 year if Board Eligible).
  • New York medical license.
  • DEA certification.
