I have a great client in Wagoner, Oklahoma actively hiring a permanent ICU RN . Here is more information:
The ICU RN provides patient care using the nursing process and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care, document patient progress, and facilitate discharge with referrals and education.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and internal staff.
- Participate in unit goals through education, in-services, and quality initiatives.
- Provide care including IV management, pain control, ventilator support, cardiac monitoring, and more.
- Assist in procedures (e.g., thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement).
- Collaborate with support services like respiratory therapy, dietitians, and pharmacy.

- 30-bed unit with Intensivist coverage.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity.
