Intermodal Trailer & Chassis Mechanic Location: St. Louis, MO (Metro Region) Work Model: On-site / Shop-based
Role Overview AAA Truck & Trailer Services is looking for an experienced Mechanic to maintain and repair intermodal trailers, containers, and chassis. Join a stable, 30-year industry leader with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule and no weekend work.
What You'll Do
- Perform full inspections and preventative maintenance on intermodal equipment.
- Conduct major body work, including panel replacements and top/bottom rail repairs.
- Repair and maintain brake systems, air systems, lighting, and landing gear.
- Troubleshoot and fix container doors and flooring.
- Operate forklifts and heavy equipment to move units within the yard.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards.

- You have trouble maintaining a consistent 7:30 AM start time.
- You do not have a background in heavy-duty trailer or chassis bodywork.
Schedule / Shift
- Monday - Friday
- 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (No weekends)
What You'll Need
- Required: Proven experience in intermodal trailer, container, or chassis repair.
- Technical: Strong knowledge of air/brake systems and structural trailer repair.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a hands-on shop environment.
- General: Valid driver's license and a track record of punctuality.
Nice to Have
- Welding and metal fabrication experience.
- Previous experience operating heavy yard equipment or forklifts.
