Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Punch Press and Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC punch presses and laser cutting machines to produce precise sheet metal components. Your expertise in CNC blueprint reading, and fabrication will ensure high-quality production standards are met efficiently. Duties

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC punch presses and laser cutting machines to produce accurate parts according to specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
• Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection of finished parts.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment to move raw materials or finished products safely within the facility.
• Assist in tooling setup and changeovers to maintain production efficiency.
• Support quality assurance by inspecting parts for defects and ensuring adherence to specifications through visual checks and measurement tools.

Experience

• Proven experience operating CNC punch presses and laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication processes including welding, machining, stamping, and assembly.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for quality control.
• Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions and tolerances accurately.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to plasma cutting, crane operation, and machine maintenance.
• Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling setup, sheet metal fabrication techniques, and manufacturing best practices. Pay range: $20-$28, per hour, based on experience.
