Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Test Technician will maintain the functionality, productivity, and reliability of testing equipment in our Testing Department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Oversees the performance of testing equipment to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. Conducts preventative maintenance in line with the scheduled PM plan. Ensures proper calibration and functionality of testing equipment to guarantee accurate results. Sets up, adjusts, troubleshoots, and repairs testing equipment according to engineering specifications or manufacturer guidelines. Works collaboratively with teams to identify defect root causes and proposes potential solutions or improvements. Maintains detailed records of test results and prepares comprehensive reports for engineers and other stakeholders. Communicates effectively with vendors and suppliers to address technical concerns or coordinate requirements. Performs additional duties as assigned to support operational needs. GUIDELINES (ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS): Fundamental understanding of electronics and electrical circuits Strong attention to detail, with the ability to carefully analyze results and detect problems or inconsistencies in testing equipment Proficient in problem-solving by identifying root causes of issues and developing effective solutions Skilled in interpreting test results, recognizing patterns, and deriving meaningful insights from data Adept at documenting findings clearly and communicating results and recommendations effectively to team members or stakeholders Capable of efficiently managing multiple testing tasks while adhering to deadlines Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and information sharing Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS, Linux, and Microsoft Office Suite EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Associate degree in Electronics or 1-3 years of equivalent experience in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field is required.
