Express Employment Group is partnering with a highly respected law firm to identify a Conflicts Attorney to support a national Conflicts and Intake function. This role plays a critical part in the firm's risk management and new business intake processes, working closely with firm leadership, partners, and counsel across multiple offices.
The Conflicts Attorney will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing conflict check reports related to both client intake and lateral hiring, identifying potential legal and business conflicts, and supporting their resolution in accordance with firm policies and ethical standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze conflict check reports related to new client matters and business intake
Identify potential legal and business conflicts of interest and provide clear, practical guidance to partners and firm leadership
Draft conflict waivers and manage waiver requests as needed
Review conflict reports related to lateral hires and advise recruiting teams, partners, and incoming attorneys on conflict matters
Implement and maintain ethical walls and other screening mechanisms
Provide guidance and oversight to non-attorney conflict specialists, including best practices for corporate family research
Assist with drafting and editing engagement letters and related intake documentation
Respond to inquiries from attorneys and professional staff regarding conflicts, intake procedures, and firm policies
Support special projects and initiatives as assigned
Remain available for urgent matters, including occasional evenings and weekends
Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in good standing
1-6 years of experience as a Conflicts Attorney within a corporate or large law firm environment
Experience with Intapp strongly preferred
Experience with Aderant is a plus
Strong database research and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information
Ability to supervise and provide guidance to support staff, as needed
This role may require availability outside standard business hours for time-sensitive matters
Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs
