The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the allied healthcare team, who is expected to practice at the highest level of their licensure. This requires providers to stay up to date with the latest evidence-based medicine. They work collaboratively with the Hospitalist to facilitate acute care of the adult patient. Our physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility. Part-time role is a minimum of 3 days per week. Full time role is 4 - 5 days per week. This is a mobile practice: The physicians visit facilities in a mile radius of practice location. Our physicians visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day. Clinical documentation is at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using our proprietary wound specific EMR. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the allied healthcare team, who is expected to practice at the highest level of their licensure. This requires providers to stay up to date with the latest evidence-based medicine. They work collaboratively with the Hospitalist to facilitate acute care of the adult patient. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers and other healthcare disciplines utilizing a team approach. This role will be a 50/50 split between hospital and clinic duties. A schedule of Mon-Fri 10am-6pm is planned with Saturday work as well (4 hours).
