JOB SUMMARY: The Production Technician I role is essential for supporting the operations team and is responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment throughout the facility with limited supervision. JOB LOCATION: Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. th Street SE Massillon, Ohio POSITION OVERVIEW: The Production Engineer will assist engineers and manufacturing staff with business-critical projects that support daily operations, safety, quality and productivity improvements of our products and processes. This position will cover existing operations and help with our expansion projects. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Consults with design engineers on features needed for new or existing installation. Prepares purchase requisitions or work orders to obtain needed tools or parts for the installation. Coordinates staff and assist in set-up die and equipment assembly and debugging for installations to ensure on-time completion. Investigates and resolves engineering related manufacturing problems. Compares dimensions of parts to blueprints, and resolve differences by revising or redesigning, utilizing 2D & 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD & SolidWorks) and Inventor Programs. Assists with satellite plant installations, as needed, including set-up, assembly, problem solving and follow-up to project completion. Analysis of data, evaluation of results and creation of technical reports, recommending further actions to be taken Working on cross disciplinary teams to solve manufacturing problems in the field Reporting project progress to Senior Management Working with Tool and Die shop to develop tooling packages for production equipment Other duties as assigned by management.
