Responsibilities Job Responsibilities Perform setups and operations on Bystronic and Mitsubishi CO2 Lasers. Check material thickness for accuracy and load material into laser stocker. De-nest and remove laser oxide from parts. Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations. May train others on set-up and operation of Laser. Identify and solve machine alignment and cut condition problems. Troubleshoot minor program errors independently. Apply basic understanding of G and M code. Cross Train across multiple laser platforms and cells. Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system. Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work. Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues. Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues. Maintain performance log books on assigned area equipment, report deficiencies to the maintenance team. Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level. Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards. Other duties as assigned. The Machine Operator is responsible for preparation, set-up, start and running manufacturing equipment under the guidance of the Production Shift Leader. Accountabilities also include ensuring that jobs meet quality specifications, manufacturing standards and that safety procedures are followed while working to continuously improve quality and productivity of manufacturing operations . They are responsible for performing this production work in a factory environment. This local company makes plastic packaging for a variety of products and other worldwide companies. We have a few different shifts available, some of which are 12-hour, some on a rotating schedule and others that are weekend only. We also have more traditional 8-hour 3rd shifts available. Training for all shifts may on another schedule 2-6 weeks. You'd start out working the back end of the line and help with packaging as part of learning about all aspects of the machine operation.
