P almer Gas & Oil is looking to hire a Crane Truck Operator / Propane Tank Installer Flex to join their growing team! Earn $30 to $38/hour Key Requirements: Must have CDL with Tank & Hazmat Endorsements NH Gas Fitters license piping - must keep current. MA Hoisting Certification SUMMARY Provides customer service and satisfaction by installing tanks, regulators, gas piping, and appliances, driving propane or oil truck over established route to deliver and sell products or render services, and/or working/assisting on excavation crew by performing some or all of the below duties: WORK HOURS Normal work schedule is M-F 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Installation), or M-TH/T-F 6:30 am to 5 pm (Delivery) with a 1/2 hour lunch break. Employee will rotate between Installation and Delivery departments pending seasonal operational demands, dates TBD. Additional hours may be required to meet our business needs pursuant to State and Federal guidelines. Maintains stock and tools in service vehicle. Responsible for maintaining external appearance and both internal and external cleanliness of service vehicle. Complies with all DOT regulations as well as company procedures. Reports and records all safety violations and customer problems. Assists service-techs when needed including helping on jobs and emergency situations regarding tanks Fills, paints, repairs, and pumps down tanks and cylinders. Perform routine recommended maintenance on excavation equipment and keeping all equipment clean and in good working order. Must be able to manually dig in the ground and work in the outside environment as needed. Responsible for following proper Digsafe procedures. Operate line locating equipment as necessary. Proficient in the use of electronic devices. Drives truck safely and delivers petroleum products to customer's home or place of business in order to meet customer requirements and company productivity goals. Complies with company safety procedures and policies including safe transportation of hazardous materials. Collects money from customers and records transaction. Submits sales leads for potential business. Records detailed delivery information on route cards and fill out paperwork correctly. Attends seminars, training classes and delivery meetings sponsored by company. Pays close attention to delivery instructions and carries out any specific requests by dispatch or on tickets. Leaves yellow delivery slip at time of delivery with customer unless the bill to address is different, ticket requires special pricing, or it states to specifically leave the slip. Cleans inside and outside of truck on a routine basis. Performs pre-trip inspection before each shift and as required by law as well as routine maintenance on truck. Must be available to work on weekends as needed; works overtime when needed, up to 60 hours (following DOT regulations) during the winter season (October - April) Communicates with the office to exchange information as needed. Assists in performing tasks of other personnel within the department as needed. Works on various projects as assigned by Manager. At the end of each job, call into dispatch to clear and confirm next job and refresh your tablet. If additional work is needed at the customer's location, schedule a follow up note. Responsibilities As a Maintenance Technician, you help residents feel safe, comfortable, and happy with their homes. In a given day, your tasks may include: General maintenance of multifamily apartment buildings, including occupied apartment units. Repairs in electrical, plumbing and appliances. Participation in cleaning and painting during unit turns. Snow removal Regular, professional, and courteous communications with Property Managers, Maintenance Managers, and Residents. On-call rotation; responds to emergency calls after hours and on weekends Other duties as assigned. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. 2+ year's property maintenance experience (apartment maintenance experience preferred). 2+ years customer service experience preferred. Provide own hand tools such as screw drivers, wrenches, pliers, drill, hammer, hacksaw, sockets, level, bits, tape measure, utility knife, flashlight and Allen wrench set. Local market experience preferred. Ability to work independently. Strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with wide range of people. Must be organized, detail oriented and have good time management skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, understanding that your scheduled workdays may vary according to staffing and property needs. Ability to perform the physical functions of the position, which may include ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb multiple flights of stairs multiple times per day, sometimes carrying tools and supplies; work on ladder or scaffolding. Maintain neat, well-groomed, professional appearance. Compensation and Benefits for Maintenance Technician: Pay Range: $21.00 - $27.50 /hr + Eligibility for competitive monthly commission for renewals Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual's experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role .
