In this fast-paced role, you are considered an industrial athlete. You are the boots on the ground and responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct assigned locations. You will operate motorized equipment including Electric Pallet Jacks while ensuring that you safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. Job Responsibilities: Operates and inspects a double electric pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner Identifies pick location and accurately selects a variety of food/ beverage cases and stacks them onto pallets Maintains order selection performance standards of speed and accuracy Safely handles and prepares items for shipment, shrink-wrapping, and labeling orders Reports any safety issues to, supervisor immediately and helps maintain a clean work area Perform other tasks as needed Job Requirements: Warehouse/Operations preferred but not required Ability to select at established minimum rate for department Understand and properly follow all selection procedures and verbal instructions in your respective area Possess an understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available Physical Environment/Demands: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation. Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures. Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment. Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work-related equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The Belt Operator is responsible for the operation of the belt lines and the monitoring of the variables for recipes during production. Monitor both DMM and salting belts during operation. Enter all variables on belts for each recipe during production. Communicate any variances in recipe set points to Supervisor and Vat/EFV Operator. Take production and micro samples as required. Address alarms for the continuous delivery of cheese to packaging area. Deliver cheese samples from packaging area to lab in a timely manner. Deliver 55 gallon drums of chemicals to CIP system for DMM, Salting belt, and tower CIP's. Work with Sanitation on prepping of both DMM and salter and perform CIP for both belts in a timely manner. Titrate all chemicals used for CIP in each belt area. What you need: No experience required; on-the-job training provided. Experience in a food service/food plant or sanitation background preferred.
