Conducting field inspections for dams and appurtenant structures, waterfront systems, culverts, and light industrial facilities. Gathering and interpreting data, preparing technical narratives, inspection summaries, basis-of-design content, and analysis/write-ups for formal engineering reports. Assisting with development of technical criteria, design approaches, alternative evaluations, and constructability considerations. Producing design calculations, engineering reports, drawings, and specifications for projects with moderate to high complexity, along with participating in internal QA/QC reviews. Staying active in professional organizations to remain current with emerging practices, standards, and technologies. What you bring: Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Approximately 15+ years of experience in structural engineering, including work with reinforced concrete, structural steel systems, waterfront or heavy civil elements, cofferdams, shoring, retaining structures, and similar systems. Familiarity with major U.S. codes and standards used for complex structural designs. Proficiency with structural analysis tools such as STAAD, GT STRUDL, or similar software, and calculation programs like MathCAD or Enercalc. Additional experience that would be beneficial: QA/QC review of structural engineering packages. Helping scope and price engineering proposals for various project delivery methods. Knowledge of dam-related structures such as gravity dams, gate structures, outlet works, and other hydraulic features. Experience with post-tensioned anchors and heavy civil or waterfront structural systems. Understanding of dam and levee safety guidelines issued by federal and state agencies (e.g., USACE, BOR, FERC). Who succeeds in this role: Strong technical communication skills-clear writing and confident verbal explanations. Ability to work well with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams. A track record of delivering high-quality work on schedule and within budget. FootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
