Machine Assembler

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Machine Assembler with some hands-on experience in mechanical assembly. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of mechanical systems and can interpret technical drawings, use hand and power tools, and contribute to the efficient and accurate assembly of industrial machinery. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble mechanical equipment and components according to engineering drawings and specificationsUse a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to complete assembliesConduct basic functional tests to ensure proper operation of assembled machinesDiagnose and resolve assembly issues or malfunctions during the build processMaintain close communication with Engineers and relay feedback through all project phasesFollow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required1-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related fieldSolid understanding of mechanical components such as gears, bearings, and fastenersComfortable working with power tools, torque wrenches, calipers, and other measuring devicesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailMust have own tools

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical certification or trainingExperience assembling industrial or manufacturing machineryBasic use of tool room equipment inclusive of manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, saws, power hand toolsAbility to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and diagramsBasic electrical or pneumatic assembly knowledge

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and stretching for prolonged periods of time can be necessary
  • Must have dexterity with hands and arms for precise work
  • Employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 70 pounds
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs
  • Vision abilities required include close vision and color recognition
