Summary:
The Welder is responsible for assembling, joining, and repairing metal parts using welding techniques in a precision manufacturing environment. This position ensures fabrication meets engineering drawings and maintains strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine weld requirements.
Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment for MIG, TIG, and stick welding tasks.
Weld components in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead) from a variety of metals and alloys.
Inspect completed welds to ensure conformance to specifications, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Maintain a clean work area, follow safety guidelines, and use personal protective equipment.
Collaborate with machinists, fabricators, and the quality team to resolve fabrication issues.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or precision welding.
Strong ability to read blueprints and use weld measuring tools.
Knowledge of welding machinery and electrical equipment.
