A leading healthcare facility in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support their Outpatient Surgical Oncology team for a 4-month assignment. This role will provide clinical coverage while the facility recruits permanent staff.
About the Opportunity:
- Location: Central New Jersey
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, days only
- On-Call: None
- Setting: Outpatient Surgical Oncology (office-based)
- Duration: 4 months, potential to extend
- Team: 2 physicians and 1-2 APPs on site with support staff
- Licensure: Active NJ license required (CDS/DEA may be pending)
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for:
- Providing outpatient support to the surgical oncology team
- Managing pre- and post-operative patient care
- Conducting evaluations and follow-ups
- Collaborating with physicians and clinical staff
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in EMR
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey license required
- CDS/DEA preferred (may be pending at start)
- Minimum 2 years of surgical or oncology experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
