A top-10 AmLaw firm is seeking a non-partnership track Associate Attorney with experience in wage and hour class, collective, and representative actions to join its Employment Litigation team in one of their California offices. This is a high-impact opportunity for a motivated litigator to manage sophisticated matters and provide strategic counsel in a dynamic, fast-paced practice.

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
  • 3+ years of substantive labor & employment law experience
  • Strong litigation background with demonstrated experience handling class, collective, and representative actions
  • Experience providing California employment advice and counseling, including drafting employment and severance agreements, policies, and handbooks
  • Prior experience at an AmLaw 100 firm strongly preferred
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Effective communication and client management skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage wage and hour class, collective, and representative action matters in California
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
  • Handle litigation management tasks, including case strategy and coordination with clients and team members
  • Provide advice and counseling on California employment law issues
  • Draft employment agreements, severance agreements, and employee policies and handbooks
  • Support clients with proactive risk management strategies

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Annual base salary is expected to range from $200,000 - $250,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors
