Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years related experience
- License: Active SC or RD license (must be in hand before start)
- Certifications:
- CDCES - Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (Required)
- BLS (Preferred)
- Pump Training Preferred: Omnipod and/or Tandem
- Education: BSN or RD with Master's Degree
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Responsibilities
- Maintain an independent schedule of patient visits (approx. 8 per day)
- Provide comprehensive diabetes education to pediatric patients and caregivers
- Support endocrinologists with care coordination and treatment planning
- Conduct follow-up visits to monitor patient progress and adjust care plans
- Educate families on insulin management, glucose monitoring, nutrition, and lifestyle habits
- Maintain EMR documentation according to ADA, CMS, and institutional guidelines
- Serve as an educational resource for staff on pediatric diabetes management
Additional Information
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Scrubs: Brown (RD) or Royal Blue (RN)
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
- Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
