Job Purpose
The Social Media & Digital Content Specialist plays a key role in driving Lucas Oil Products' digital presence and brand storytelling across social and digital platforms. This creative, production-minded marketer will develop, produce, and execute compelling content that educates, entertains, and promotes our products and brand across our family of entities. 
This position blends creativity, production, and strategy, bringing ideas to life through photos, videos, graphics, and copy, while also managing paid digital ad campaigns to expand reach and engagement. The role requires exercising discretion and independent judgment in shaping content direction and digital engagement strategies.
 Key Responsibilities  Social Media 
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media content plan that is aligned with the company's marketing strategy and objectives.
 - Manage day-to-day publishing, community engagement, and performance tracking across all corporate social platforms, making independent decisions regarding content scheduling, tone, and engagement approach.
 - Plan and produce creative multimedia content (photo, video, graphics, and copy) for organic and paid use.
 - Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all digital touchpoints.
 - Stay ahead of emerging trends, platform updates, and new technologies to ensure Lucas Oil remains innovative online.
 
Digital Advertising & Analytics
- Plan, launch, and optimize paid digital and social ad campaigns (Facebook/Instagram Ads, YouTube, TikTok, Google, etc.) to support brand awareness, product launches, and promotions.
 - Manage ad targeting and reporting in collaboration with marketing leadership.
 - Analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
 
Creative Production
- Conceptualize and produce digital content from start to finish-including video shoots, photography, editing, and copywriting.
 - Exercise discretion in selecting creative themes, messaging, and audience targeting strategies to effectively position the brand online.
 - Partner with internal creative teams, agencies, and external partners to develop assets for digital and social use.
 - Ensure all creative adheres to brand standards and contributes to an engaging user experience.
 
Collaboration & Brand Engagement
- Work closely with ambassadors, event partners, and sponsorship representatives to highlight key partnerships and events.
 - Collaborate with internal marketing team to develop campaigns and creative assets that support broader marketing initiatives.
 - Support live marketing events and activations through social coverage, content capture, and real-time engagement.
 
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
 - Travel 50% 
 
Required Skills:
- Proven experience creating and managing paid digital ad campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.).
 - Strong creative eye and experience producing photo and video content (basic editing skills a plus).
 - Proven success and passion in capturing and sharing quality social and digital content in real time
 - Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.) and other editing platforms (Capcut, Canva, etc.)
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling.
 - Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize content accordingly.
 - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects at once.
 - Positive, team-oriented attitude.
 - Experience in online marketing, advertising and public relations 
 - Good communication and creative writing skills 
 - Must be able to multitask and meet targets
 - Must have good networking skills
 - Primarily office-based in Indianapolis, with travel to events, races, and shoots
 - Ability to lift and carry production equipment as needed.
 - Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
 
Education/Licenses/Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, PR, Communications or related field of study preferred. 
 - Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
