POSITION DESCRIPTION: The new gastroenterology physician assistant or nurse practitioner will work in a collaborative environment with an integrated care team of physicians, advanced practice providers, RNs, LPNs, medical assistants, and non-clinical support staff. The clinical team currently consists of four (4) gastroenterologist physicians and two (2) gastroenterology advanced practice providers. Providers are supported by highly-trained clinical assistants and on-site management in comfortable, modern settings. This includes scribes and staff to perform administrative tasks, ensuring providers are able to focus solely on patient care. Duties of the role include, but are not limited to: - provide routine outpatient gastroenterology care - oversee patients healthcare - conduct physical examinations - interpret lab tests - management of acute or episodic illnesses - management of stable chronic illnesses Providers see a variable (and always manageable) number of patients per day, based upon needs and types of appointments scheduled.
