Help residents maintain independence and physical safety and promote dignity of each resident adhering to the standards of Resident Rights and Sunrise Principles of Service. Participate/lead and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and Invite, Encourage, and Assist (IEA) residents to participate in activities as indicated on the ISP. Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities throughout the day in reminiscence. Under the direction of the Associate Director for Urban & Community IPM, the Urban IPM Educator will support the urban IPM outreach and education program by coordinating activities, carrying out train-the-trainer educational programs, working for with UC ANR academics and staff, developing materials, and delivering information to urban audiences throughout the state through a variety of mechanisms. The Educator participates in program planning and supports the efforts of the Associate Director to identify priorities, engage cooperators, identify and write proposals for grant funding, and disseminate resources to achieve program goals. Can add, subtracts, multiply, and divides into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Demonstrate knowledge of spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, and ability to learn Sysco technology software and programs. Must have excellent computer skills. Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Successfully engage and lead individual and team discussions and meetings. Apply all relevant policies in a consistent, timely and objective manner. Able to work with peers and associates from other departments, operating companies, and Corporate proactively and constructively. Work in a disciplined manner and capable of following established procedures, practices and comply with local, state and federal regulations. Manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere and customer service issues. Demonstrates skill in making independent decisions in support of company policies and procedures on time.
