Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:Teach courses in an EAC/ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering physics program with tracks in mechanical, electrical, and aerospace engineering, courses in applied engineering/engineering technology programs, or other classes as assigned. The development of a sustainable research and creative activity program involving undergraduate students is critical. This faculty will be expected to develop student-centered teaching skills, including the use of modern classroom and course management technologies. Engagement in EAC/ABET accreditation is required. Other responsibilities may include laboratory development, student academic and career advisement, and developing professional industry partners for internship and full-time career opportunities.
Minimum Education Requirements:Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.
Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:Work experience as an engineer or engineering teaching experience is preferred.
