Anesthesiology Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity in New York

A facility in western New York is seeking an experienced general anesthesiologist for locum coverage beginning November 3. Full time availability is preferred, though candidates available 1 2 weeks per month will be considered. This is a hospital based assignment with weekday shifts and required weeknight/weekend call.

• Call:

  • Weeknight call: 1:6 rotation, 7 p.m. 7 a.m.

  • Weekend call: Friday 7 p.m. Monday 7 a.m.

  • On call radius: 1 hour

• Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Supervision model: 1 MD to 2 4 CRNAs

  • No OB or trauma

  • Pre op and post op assessments

  • Required cases:

    • Endoscopy

    • Orthopedic (joints, fractures, hand, podiatry)

    • General surgery (hernias, breast, gallbladders, bowel, colorectal)

    • Urology (cystoscopy, laser lithotripsy, hydroceles)

    • Gynecology (hysteroscopy, laparoscopy)

    • Spine (neuromonitoring, cervical, lumbar)

    • Vascular and ENT

• Patient Age Range: 6 years and older

• Experience Requirements: Anesthesiology experience required

• EMR: Meditech
