A facility is seeking a pediatric anesthesiology physician for locum tenens coverage. The role includes pediatric and adult anesthesia cases in a high-volume hospital setting with weekday shifts, night pager call, and 24-hour weekend call. Candidates must be board certified and fellowship trained in pediatric anesthesiology and willing to provide care across age groups.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m

• Support Staff:

  • Five neurosurgeons

  • Four advanced practice providers

  • CRNAs under medical direction

• Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Perform solo pediatric and adult anesthesia cases

  • Provide medical direction for CRNAs

  • Manage NICU babies (no hearts), pediatric orthopedic (no spine), ENT, general surgery, GI, dental, and MRI sedation cases

• Experience Requirements: Minimum one year of experience in pediatric anesthesiology

• EMR: EPIC

• Dates: December 1 and ongoing

• Call: Weeknight pager call 5 p.m.-7 a.m.; 24-hour weekend pager call 7 a.m.-7 a.m.; minimum one week per month
