SECURITY SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN with Security Clearance

Basic Position Function: The incumbent performs installation, repair, and maintenance of technical and physical security systems installed at US Embassy Moscow. The incumbent will work under the supervision of the security engineering staff of ESC Moscow. The contractor's work performance will be evaluated by the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of ESC Moscow. Major Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Weekly: Performs maintenance and emergency repairs on security systems and equipment used by Diplomatic Security (DS) in Mission Russia facilities: including vehicle barriers, forced entry ballistic resistant doors, locks, access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, emergency notification, and metal and explosives detection. Quarterly: Assists security engineering staff with periodic maintenance and testing of security systems to ensure function, document results, and procure needed materials for future maintenance. As-needed: Assists security engineering staff in new security system installations. Performs other duties as assigned. Work Location: The work will be performed at Embassy Moscow. Office space and resources will be provided to support this position in the Controlled Access Area (CAA) office suite of the ESC. Security Clearance: The incumbent must possess an active, final, Top Secret security clearance. Qualifications Required: Incumbent must be 21 years of age or older, completed journeyman training in either the electrical or an electromechanical trade.
