MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN: 3rd Shift Mon - Thur 7:30p - 6:00a The Maintenance Technician ensures the efficient operations of machinery and mechanical equipment. ABOUT THE COMPANY The company is a premier leader in the manufacturing of sheet metal products used for the installation of HVAC systems. They bring over 60 years of experience with an excellent record in safety, quality and servicing their customers. JOB DUTIES: Complete PMs as needed and service order requests in a timely manner Will also trouble-shoot electrical problems including PLCs Has the ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic problems including programmable controllers. Knowledgeable of basic interaction of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems present within manufacturing equipment. Remove, repair and or replace parts as needed Controls downtime by keeping production informed of potential issues Will plan and perform machinery installations May instruct and train others on projects as needed Performs skilled building maintenance when needed Ensures adequate inventory of parts Communicates effectively with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members Performs all work in a safe manner following all regulations, codes and policies Will interpret shop drawings, sketches, schematics as necessary Maintains various records as needed Mindful of preventative maintenance to limit production downtime Will participate in special projects when needed Will make recommendations for process improvements Follows all company safety policies including LOTO when applicable Regular attendance is essential REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of interaction of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems Effectively and safely operate a variety of tools and equipment Ability to communicate effectively and professionally Ability to work with minimal direction Ability to lift greater than 50# occasionally and less than 50# frequently Must pass required testing EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Maintenance or equivalent certification or continued education preferred Four years of relative experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Two years of work associated with the diagnosis and repair of machinery and equipment
