A medical center in Northern NJ is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist for locum tenens coverage.
About the opportunity:
- Schedule: 12 to 15 shifts per month
- Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Patient Load: 10 to 15 patients daily
Responsibilities:
- Cover Level II Nursery, Emergency Room, and attend all deliveries
- Provide solo coverage (no Advanced Practice Providers)
- Manage all pediatric ER cases
- No inpatient pediatric service outside of nursery; admissions transferred to NBI (6 miles away)
- Neonatologist available on call; attends most deliveries
- Use of Epic EMR system
Qualifications:
- Board-certified/eligible Pediatrician
- NJ medical license
- Experience in neonatal resuscitation and ER consults
- Ability to work independently
