AUC-GRANTED Research Concierge
Position Summary:The incumbent in this position will deliver high-quality customer service and administrative support to Principal Investigators (PIs) on funded grants, assisting them with the business processes required to manage their awards effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Bachelor's degree required. 2-4 years related experience. Experience providing support to teams/offices/organizations whose operations are guided by processes, regulations, and compliance guidelines is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Suite with a strong emphasis on SharePoint development.
The ideal candidate for this position is self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive. Position requires the individual to have strong customer skills, be able to manage multiple tasks, and exhibit a high degree of flexibility. Independent judgment is necessary to plan, prioritize and organize their workload while paying particular attention to detail. The ability to work effectively under pressure, demonstrate initiative, and promote teamwork are key assets in this role; strong time management skills are critical.
The duties of this position require excellent interpersonal skills. Professional demeanor with the ability to interface with internal and external customers with diplomacy and tact is essential. The individual may deal with materials that are sensitive in nature and thus will need to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent oral communication skills are required when presenting information and responding to questions from internal and external customers in one-on-one or group situations. The individual needs to be able to effectively deliver presentations to faculty and staff. The individual must have good written communication skills and be able to write business correspondence, various reports, and compose memos, letters, and e-mails. Experience creating organizational policies and procedures a plus. They must also be able to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as compliance rules, safety rules, and procedural manuals.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to perform advanced level computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), and database management skills. In addition to producing formal business correspondence, memos and e-mails, duties may involve assignments that require creating mail merges, flyers, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets using formulas and pivot tables. Experience using Outlook and the Banner Financial Module is preferred. Must be proficient in one or more applications such as Smartsheet, Qualtrics, and Google Forms which are an essential component of the job.

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, walk, hear, sit, and operate computers and other office equipment. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and stand. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb, and lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.
