Job Overview ECU Health Physicians provides state of the art care for patients in eastern North Carolina through a cancer care network of university faculty and hospital employed physicians in a hub and spoke model of care. Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed academic medical center, and the home to eastern North Carolina’s only American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer accredited Academic Comprehensive Cancer Center Growing clinical neuroscience team inclusive of 10 neurosurgeons, including dual-trained cerebrovascular specialists and 20 + neurologists including an interventional neurologist, 4 vascular neurologists, 4 neurointensivists and 13 subspecialty neurologists. The subspecialties include pediatric neurology, epilepsy, movement disorders, headache, neuromuscular, sleep medicine, intraoperative monitoring and neuro-oncology. ECU Health Medical Center has a 24-bed NSICU led by Neurointensivists as well as a 75-bed CARF accredited rehabilitation center providing inpatient and outpatient support to neurology patients Opportunity to participate in a 9-hospital system of cancer care with 5 COC accredited sites sharing a common medical record and planned COC Network status Established clinical trials program through ECU Health and East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, Members Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology In addition to a competitive compensation and benefits plan, qualified applicants may also be eligible for loan repayment, sign-on bonus, income guarantees, and residency/fellowship paid commitment stipends ECU Health Physicians includes an academic practice model (ECU employment) and a community practice model (health system employment). The successful candidate will join an established multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in neurology, neurosurgery, radiosurgery, hematology oncology, radiation oncology, neuroradiology and neuropathology.
